The Regretwork podcast network is a project run by myself, my husband Ian, and our friend Ed. It consists of three shows: Replay or Regret, reviewing nostalgic albums and covering local PNW music; Rewind or Regret, reviewing childhood movies; and Reprise or Regret, reviewing Broadway musicals and their adaptations. I do the majority of the graphic design work for the Regretwork, and it's been really fun!
The Replay or Regret logo was the first asset I worked on for the network. For the logo, we were going for the early 00s mix CD vibe, and I really like how it turned out. I think the little lightning bolts are probably my favorite part - I definitely drew them with Sharpie on more than a few burned CDs as a kid!
For the Reprise or Regret logo, I wanted to stay with the same orange/black/white color scheme we had established for Replay. I played with a couple of different concepts using theatrical symbols like comedy/tragedy masks and curtains, but I think I really nailed it when I decided on the Playbill. Reprise's logo feels like it belongs with Replay, but establishes its own identity.
One of the most exciting moments for us was when we started getting physical merchandise for the Regretwork, even just for ourselves! These Replay patches turned out great.
Our Certified Friend of the Pod tumblers are gifts for musicians who are interviewed on Replay.
