The B.E.A.R. System graphics were created as part of a professional wrestling storyline in which my husband Ian's character was attempting to recruit other wrestlers to his self-help program, the B.E.A.R. System, in order to gain control of the company. The B.E.A.R. System logo was created to look intentionally dated, as if it were from the 1980s, even though the storyline started in 2020. I drew inspiration from the handwritten font from the D.A.R.E. program logo, as well as 1980s design elements such as strong gradients and sci-fi inspired fonts. Since the character was portrayed as starting the B.E.A.R. System for financial gain, we thought it would be funny to have branded products for Ian to bring to shows and try to sell to unimpressed fellow wrestlers. I created a DVD cover that pays homage to early VHS covers, as well as two simple T-shirt designs.

The Brilliant Behemoth design was created because I love using color in my designs, so I wanted to challenge myself to create something monochrome. I really like the classic distressed screen-printed look of vintage tees, but I'd never done a design in that style before. Luckily, that style is super popular in wrestling, so it gave me a chance to experiment!
